I've been finding a good amount of A24 films at Walmart. However I did bite and order this when it hit $19.99 on Amazon.

I'm wondering when they'll give us an actual release date. The article says August 24, but that's a Sunday, and that hasn't been confirmed on its Blu-ray.com page or on Amazon.

The date currently on Amazon is August 5th, which is a Tuesday.

Just picked up the Canadian Blu of this at Wal-Mart. The best movie of 2025 so far.

Hopefully this really does come out August 5th in the US. It was weird - I kept checking the movie’s product page for a release date, and nothing. Then all of a sudden, bam, August 5th!

My Amazon order still says “we will email you with delivery date …” I would have assumed they would have the correct date now if it comes out next Tuesday.

I wouldn't worry about that if that's what your order shows. Just the date is what I'm wondering about.

I think since A24 is not some huge distributor, Amazon just doesn't always have stock ready to go before release date (or at least not a lot of it). I'm sure it's all gonna ship, it might just not be until after August 5.

I grabbed Friendship from them because of the price, but I typically try to go with Barnes & Noble for these since they ship it sooner and I can get free shipping with them (unlike from A24 direct). In the past, when I've placed preorders on Amazon for Babygirl and The Brutalist, after they were given release dates my estimated deliveries were changed to like 2 weeks after that.

Mine just came from Target a day early! Only disappointment is that they changed the disc artwork - no longer the magical toad from the OP, now just plain yellow with a light blue ring around it. Great movie, can’t wait to check out the bonus features!
