He doesn't want nor does he need TWO separate players to do so. He WANTS an all in one. Saying that 4Ks are region free is missing the point completely. People need to stop focusing on the 4K part.
The only one missing the point is you. Does this person already own a 4K player. We don't know but their collection has one 4K disc so it is possible. It is also possible that this person didn't know that 4K players are region free. By providing this piece of information, they now may have other options when looking into making a purchase. Options that may save them money.

Actually, 4K players are not region free. Not all of them anyway. My Panasonic 4K player is not region free. The 4K discs are, but not the player. He would need a separate player in order to play region locked Blu-rays/DVDs, which I understand. But I believe he is wanting an all in one. Which makes perfect sense since there's no need for two separate players.

If anyone wants a 4K disc player that has been modified to play DVDs and blu-rays from ANY region, all they need to do is select one at this link:

https://www.220-electronics.com/regi...d_blu_ray.html

It's really that simple.

There are a handful of 4K discs that are region locked and the region free modified 4K disc players listed at the above link will play those, too.

Region locked 4K discs are listed in this thread:

Obviously a typo. Every other post says discs. You're beating a dead horse.

This person has all the information they need to make a decision.

My ps5 is 4k. Only 4k player I have. But he is right. All 3 in 1 is what I meant. But since my ps5 is 4k. I guess I could just look 4 a bluray dvd region free player

That's my point. You have another option that could save you some money. Do some research and see what you find. I know nothing about region free players. If you can save yourself some money. It's worth looking into.

Sure, you can save yourself some money. But then you've got two players and now you have to switch between the two to watch things. Which isn't really that bad I guess, but it seems like overkill really. Especially when you can get an all in one. And it won't cost you that MUCH more. At least not super expensive comparatively. I, personally, wouldn't want to have two systems to play things. Which is a big reason I gave up on the Playstation. It won't play CDs. Not unless I had the money to spend on a really nice dedicated CD player. But that's a pipe dream.

It never hurts to have a back-up player.

I have a 4k player that plays the normal discs as well as SACD and DVD-A. I also have a DVD recorder and a dedicated CD player. If I want to watch a TV show that's on DVD, I load one disc into the 4k and another into the DVD recorder. I can watch two discs without needing to get up to switch discs.
