Exactly. It's why sequels are prioritised over original films.

Didn't like this first movie, no faith in Pixar sequels, or no love for film adaptation?

I really hope they don't try to get Brad Bird on this one. I've been starving for Ray Gunn for years.

If he isn’t doing Incredibles 3 I highly doubt he’s doing this.

Ray Gunn is supposed to come out next year, this one could take 3 or 4 years.

Only just found out that Peter Sohn is helming I3 while Bird will be writing. Sounds like good news to me, we'll get to see a fleshed-out story like he intended had he been given enough time with I2.

Oh wow, production's really moving along with it now. Bummed that it's only on Netflix, though. Likely means no physical release.

Ostensibly. Guess they got the ball rolling a lot quicker this time.

Everyone who saw it as a kid is now an adult. So who is the audience? The grown-ups?

Deconfirmed

Is there any truth to the rumors of a Ratatouille 2 in the works?

This rumor kind of came out of nowhere. Our team was at the Pixar event a couple of weeks ago in New York and from what we have gathered from speaking with Pixar, this rumor is not true. That does not mean one can not come in the future but at this time a sequel is not currently “in the works”.

Everyone in France. They love it there, young and old. It was number one at the box office there that year and to this day the merchandising in Disneyland Paris is skewed towards the rat.

Another reason why threads like this, based on “scoops” from internet people are a complete nonsense.

They’re going to revisit everything eventually because the original films aren’t as popular. It could be a sequel or a prequel or a reboot or whatever… but you can bet your bottom (Disney) dollar it will happen
