The final third slows down IMMENSELY, but I actually really liked this one.

At any rate, this, POSEIDON, THE INVASION...Arrow continues to lay claim to releasing Warner's worst genre films of the era in 4K. Certainly hope there are some decent films on the back end of this deal coming...somewhere.

And AmCin articles in the booklet rather than lots of absurd essays from poncey academic types. Yay!

I saw this at les theatres when I was 8. Got some cool aesthetics and spider guy at the end is very awesome. It's not my favorite or anything so I'll probly wait for the standard. Cool beans!

This movie kinda suffers from Spawn syndrome. Some of the effects to this day still look great. Some looked terrible even in 1998. I never got the immense hate for it. It's an okay stupid fun ride. I think it actually has a couple really good set pieces. My favorite being when LeBlanc flies the Hell out of that ship to escape the collapsing planet at the end. I think that's the best scene and the part with the best effects. And I do kinda wish they'd made a sequel because they could have tweaked some of the stuff that didn't work and doubled down on what did. I also like that they weren't just lost in space but also lost in time.

It feels like a JJ Abrams movie before there were JJ Abrams movies.

Probably buying it..

I haven't seen this movie in a long time and I didn't love it back when I owned the DVD but I really want this. And for that price I think I WILL get it.

It should be a law that American Cinematographer bits get included in Blu-ray and 4K releases. The number of people calling themselves "film historians" is maddening.

I was just thinking whether I needed the Shout Factory Blu-ray.

This movie isn't great, but it was a big deal to 10 year old me. Had the novelization and the Jupiter 2 toy and I thought that was really cool.

This movie was awful. I think it was one of those free DVDs that came with players in the late 90s. I think I recall an interview with Gary Oldman where he said he took the role so his kids would have something they could see him in only to find out they were bored out of their minds watching the film.

Kinda surprised the trailer isn't listed in the features. It was actually a decent ad for the flick.

Piece of advice: when making a film, "Get Lost" is not a good tagline.

Like others I have a soft spot for this one, I can't remember if the little alien creature CGI's Scorpion King's the movie completely or it's the plot that does the damage.

But there's lots to like.

Lost in Space's biggest problem IMO is indeed its occasional awful visual effect. Okay maybe it happens a bit more often than "occasional." And an awful line here and there. The plot isn't so bad for the kind of big stupid movie it is. In fact...it actually did feel a bit like an updated version of one of the weekly plots from the old series. Sometimes pulp nonsense is fine and appropriate..

Darn it! I knew I shouldn’t have bought the SF! Release last year. I’m gonna end up double dipping for the new features, I just know it.
