To be fair we haven’t seen any screenshots of what this transfer looks like.

I think the member who posted the image several posts back did it with the thought of, I wonder what the color grading will be on this new 4K.

I’m guessing we won’t know until someone gets their hands on a copy.

You do realize that screenshot is from the blu-ray and not representative of anything on this 4K? Also do you know how list is of SC releases that are an actual improvement over the US-released equivalent? What are you talking about?

I know they get a lot of them right. That doesn't mean they'll never get one wrong.

SC released Red Sonja, which has the single worst color timing I've ever seen. That cap of The Graduate looks like one of the better Ritrovata jobs, and it's known some of SC's releases have LIR transfers.

I was so close to giving the Blu Ray another spin, after holding out for this for so many years. Thank God the LE is in a reasonably sized box.

The biggest surprise with this set is that StudioCanal have produced an LE with some additional tat that is actually worth having.

I was fully expecting this to be released in an oversized box that when opened played a version of Mrs Robinson recorded on the kazoo and with the sole extra being a pair of Mrs Robinson's stockings.

Fantastic news! Blood Simple next, please. I still couldn’t convince myself to watch the film via Criterion’s 4K disc due to the bad encode.

I mean, for starters they posted a screenshot from an ancient master, rather than one from a more recent 4K restoration. Not saying this is what the new 4K will look like, but it's more likely to be closer than that poorly graded older release.
