Come on Warners, where's the tat-laden UCE to match my other Kubrick UHDs from y'all?

I swear Waner Bros. milks Kubrick so much because they know if it looks a little better, stupid people like me who bought it already will buy it

Giving it a tat release when you know damn well the disc will be barebones just feels wrong.

Hopefully they make an effort and include something, if not any of the Criterion extras then at least one of the documentaries from the Kubrick Masterpiece Collection.

I know it will, but I've got plenty of books about Mr K (most recent being the Taschen one about The Shinning) as well as several past home video boxsets (including the Masterpiece set you mention) so personally I'm not fussed about on-disc extras. Give the new 4K master a nice tight encode with the OG mono included and I'm golden.

You don’t want to pay an extra £15 for some ‘art cards’?

Pretty sure all it got was a hard case release with a booklet, which was actually a pretty nice release (I got it) - it was about £35 though, and this was back in 2018.

The initial release of 2001 kind of was the tat edition, my copy I got day one came in a slipbox with a booklet and cards. The 'same' release is available (at least the US one) without the extra physical stuff now.

Exactly, it's a tat-ish edition

To be fair to 2001 its ‘tat’ is absolutely gorgeous concept art, not just a couple of random stills on card. Shame the disc has an error too.

Given those other fancy editions came along years after the initial 4K releases I guess we can expect a chunky Barry in about 2028?

Clockwork and FMJ were released at the same time.
