So, really, Best Buy was only out of the physical media game for less than a year and a half.
So many incredible deals at the end.

Steelbooks for $10, Shazam 2, The Flash, Exorcist Believer.

13 Monkeys 4K Arrow was like $12 I think.

No online pickup, you had to hunt at the stores to find the deals.

All the Disney 100 Steels at $10 including the just released Snow White and Cinderella in 4K. The Star Wars went fast I only found Return of the Jedi.

I bought doubles of many of the titles if they had the cardboard J card that said Best Buy Exclusive for sentimental reasons.

I've rarely stepped inside a Best Buy since that close out.

I buy my electronics from Costco, Best Buy's 15 day return policy is a no go with me.

One store sells them for 25 Cents during their twice annual storewide sale, dollar CDs also go for 25 cents and not crappy titles. AC/DC, Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers, Beatles Past Master just to name a few.

People love DVDs at the right price. Popcorn movies like Fast and Furious blurays are regularly going for a dollar. Comedies too.

Here's what holds its value: horror, Criterion and boutique labels

People are trading in boatloads of DVDs, Blurays and CDs. Boomers are downsizing.

I just bought the entire Seinfeld DVD collection for $9 and the first TV Flash DVD for $1 in Like New condition. You'd have to be awful lucky to find these for 25 cents during the sale. I bought Seinfeld because it was just sitting there and in excellent condition.

I one time time bought all of the Friends DVDs for a dollar/season complete and sold them on Ebay for $50. Those days are gone now.

But people still like DVDs at the right price.
Checking your local thrift stores regularly can really pay off. I'm lucky that MOST of mine in SE North Carolina sell DVDs and BR for $.99/ea (and those that don't aren't too much more; $2-3).

For example, an excellent find recently was John Wick 2 4k/BR/DVD SEALED with slip for $1.99! Check out the Goodwill & Thrift Store Scores thread:https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...309241&page=23
