I saw 'No Country' yesterday on Blu-ray yesterday before the Oscars and I have to agree that it is a great movie. The picture quality is superb and the scenes of the Texas landscape is wonderfully rendered. The closeups of Anton cleaning up his leg wound is so realistic and graphic that it will make your stomach turn.

Overall it is a great movie and highly recommended to be included in every BD collection!!

It was great to see the Coen bros take so many awards. The only one they were nominated for that they didn't get was editing, which went to Bourne Ultimatum. The ones they received were more prestigious. They deserved these oscars!

Are you aware that it also depends on the sampling rate? This particular title is 24 bit at 48 kHz. PCM can also be delivered at 24-bit, 96 kHz or 192 kHz (best of all). Anyhow, you've raised the question so I'll check again too when I get home this evening.

UK ppl a person on another forum has received there copy and states that it is indeed region free (or atleast AB)!! Lets keep our fingers crossed (just ordered my copy)

ralph potts has reviewed it in this thread and has confirmed that it isnt region free. i can only assume that he said this because he had some sorta proof that it wasnt region free. i.e he had tested it. but if you say that someone else is saying its region free, then thats good. heres hoping.
