was missing the option for "blu-ray playback/gaming/Media extender"

Just loving the divx/xvid(partly) playback capabilities, just wish for better xvid support.

I am using PS3 mostly for gaming and then for all kind of media play back(no HD DVD ofcourse).

Amazing machine PS3 is. Those who are just using for BLU-RAY, I strongly recommend to try few PSN downloadable games. There are games to suit all age groups. Pick one that you like and see what kinda mammoth black beast you got yourself in your living room.

Yeah,

I use mine mostly for Blu Ray.

I do have 2 PS3 games and a handfull of PS2 games and I play games maybe 5% of the time.

I also show family picture slide shows to people while playing back music from the hard drive just to show off.

And the internet browser on the PS3 is great. I love the dynamic zoom.

split between movies (blu-ray and DVD) as well as a media extender to stream video and audio from my PC. I don't own or ever played a game on it.

I would have voted for gaming and blu if it actually had any games I cared about. So now my $600 purchase has a shifted purpose of movie playback with an extended wait on any gaming.

Yeah, if it wasn't for R&C, I'd probably be 100% about the movies. It always bothered me when trolls and other know-nothings would say that the PS3 was only for games. Still the best player out there!

I have just one game also, and it's COD4.... logged about 10 hours total on it..... just not my thing. I tried to give it to a friend, but he already had it, so my wife's brother plays it when he comes over. I did play it online for 30 minutes or so, and I can see how it can be fun if I were able to get better weapons etc..... but I got too much going on to log that much time on video games......

I actually like to sit with my eyes closed and listen to music...... it's revolutionary I know! (damn I'm getting old)
