It was a toss-up between Blade Runner and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Both Warner Bros. and Sony need to be commended on these two releases. I highly doubt there will ever be a reason to re-purchase either of these titles again. They are absolutely the definitive versions of both classic films. When it came to a vote I went with Close Encounters of the Third Kind to help even up the score.

I've never seen either Close Encounters or Blade Runner. I plan on purchasing them very soon. I was just wondering what would be the best version of each film to watch (since they both have multiple versions)?

Hands down it's Blade Runner for me. Warner went all out for this title and it showed (PQ/SQ). This released reminded me why I enjoy HDM so much.
