I would be interested in wireless cables if:
- they work well (no quality loss) - they do not require a power outlet for each speaker (I do not see how that would work) If you know a system that works really well, I would be interested in knowing more. I was just checking the Kipnis Studio Standard theater and even with all the speakers and amps in his setup, no wires are visible. Do they pass the wires under the hardwood floor with "holes" at every speaker location? (I guess for 6 million everything is possible!) |

I know that there is Sony's Digital Infrared Audio Transmission (DIAT): "The advanced DIAT technology transfers digital audio signals without compression or compromise to sound quality. It ensures pure audio reproduction without deterioration that might be present in other wireless transmission methodologies. DIAT's unique build insures that the system is not vulnerable to interference by other wireless information or data transmitted from common hold-hold items such as microwaves and cordless phones." http://www.sony.net/Products/SC-HP/c...7/pdf/diat.pdf But I wouldn't buy speakers from Sony and you still need a power outlet. |

[QUOTE=chasarms;681081]I don't know if you can still buy them, but at home stores, they sell/sold plastic tubes with a split in them.

We use a box
![]() As you can see, it is painted the same color as the wall behind it. Its a pain to remove when you want to input more cables or remove some, but aside from that annoyance, its pretty nice. |

These guys make a chair rail and baseboard, looks like it could give a "clean" look. What's good about it is it can be painted to match your walls. |

I finally took the time to organize my cables in my living room. It took me some time to do, a lot of patience and the discomfort of kneeling in awkward positions but I made it!
I used the following cable reel (for 6.99 at Ikea): ![]() I haven't taken pictures before but I will take some when I get home to let you guys judge if I did a good job. One question that I had, is it adequate to pass electric and audio/video, speaker cables in the same reel (will it cause some kind of interference for them being too close)? I hope that it is adequate because I don't want to crawl for a few more hours! Thanks in advance for any input! |

Under a coffee table, under rugs, under couches, behind the Home ent stand...I take a lot of time hiding each wire for the sake of apperance, I hate the messy look, so if I ever get new equipment, I re-wire everything...I'm nuts.

You can use your own baseboard (if tall enough), but it takes a little work to cut a channel back to your studs: http://cableorganizer.com/wire-tracks/
