I think this is worth $90 from Amazon for the 5 movies. I'll be buying it for sure.

Taking off my shades, I look down at the trembling credit card and utter with menace "Go on Punk... Make my day!!!"

I'm really torn on this. The first film is great, the second film is good, but the rest is absolute trash. I want the bonus disc (if the features are all in HD) but I guess you have to buy the box set to get it. Ugh!!

I like the Dead Pool. Gn'R make a cameo, and that scene where they're recording a video to Welcom to the Jungle with Jim Carrey...greatness.

Why should you be concerned ? This decision probably made lots of HD-DVD owners unhappy, why would you wish them arm ? it's not a civilised comment, you just shouldn't care.

perhaps he's happy that HD DVDs bandwidth constraints won't limit the BD encode unless it's already been done or Warner decides to be lazy

Why? Same reason it is great when someone decides to make a PS3 exclusive game. They don't have to cater to the lowest common demonimator, and can make it the best it can be for the format.

Ive just noticed that at HighDefDigest they have just listed the single movie "Dirty Harry" for an earlier release on April 8 ???

I wonder if its a mistake or true?

We're not speaking the game, but the movies. I don't think HD-DVD should warrant a mention, this is a BR forum.

Speaking of encoding limitation, Fox is bombarding us in france with BD25 with MPEG2 encodes, just do the math, it's sub-par releases (4 times the resolution on 3 times the space ? Right) so you shouldn't blame HD-DVD at every turn, and in fact, you should just forget about HD-DVD existence, it is of no concern to this forum anymore. When a Blu disc sucks, it sucks because it's badly made, not because of the HD-DVD scapegoat which is GONE.

One of the best movie franchises ever, of course...you'd have to be out of your mind to not want this.

Well, nobody forced those dumb *******s to invest in an inferior format when a better format with more support was available. Oh wait it was $100 cheaper right? I guess the cheapskates got what they deserved, they get no sympathy from anyone here.

Your argument is totally irrelevant. FOX was never a neutral studio. If they wanted to they could release a crappy transfer on a BD25 or they can go all out with an incredible high bitrate BD50 transfer. Warner on the other hand being neutral didn't have the same choice because their ceiling was limited by HDDVD's 30GB disc and gimped 30mbps bandwidth.
