Hey, your better off than me...my Panasonic DMP-BD10K will not bitstream any high res. audio (but the player decodes all of them except...yea, you guessed it...DTS-HD Master). It still a great BD player and I've really enjoyed it. What I'm going to do is move it to my bedroom which will make all the high res. audio decoding a mute point. I will probably go with the Panasonic DMP-BD50 in my home theater.

With the 805, you don't need a player which decodes DTS MA, you only need a player which will bitstream DTS MA (with actual decoding being done in your 805).

Just like PS3 Blu-Ray pointed out...the Panasonic DMP-BD30 can bitstream DTS-HD Master (along with a few others) and it's available now. Make sure you are looking at the green boxes on the chart at that site.

I'm using an older receiver myself, and rely on the analog outs, though I put them thru an A/D converter in my AVR for bass management and delay control.

To the best of my knowledge, no player currently available does the full DTS MA conversion internally, though I think it can pass PCM uncompressed thru HDMI to older but HDMI equiped AVRs. On my Samsung 1400, when I select MA, I do get sound from the 5.1 analog outputs, but I believe it is just core DTS 5.1, not master audio. I could just as well use the optical outs, and get the same thing. Still, the sound is not half bad, as I'm sure my neighbors above were lamenting last night during Die Hard 4. I hope some of the new BDs go to TrueDolby, DTS HD, or back to uncompressed PCM. Otherwise I will be stuck with the original digital formats. Unfortunately the most recent disks I have played, only have MA, which defeats all the decoding modes that the sumsung has for the analog outputs. There must be some reason why none of the players decode internally, maybe takes more processing power than is available in the players?

You can do a search in the Players section. Just go to players up top. Then Search Player off to the left. You should be able to scroll down to the Audio Playback and pick which codec you care about and then search.

I think there are at least 5 coming this year, with the 1st coming around April 1st, 2008.

Hope this Helps.

The new Denon DVD3800BDCI does, with more on the way.

It sure should. I've been doing that with my pre-1.3 HDMI AVR for a year.

I'm in a simaliar postion. I just got the 705 and I am using a PS3. Is there a way to bitstream the audio from it through HDMI? I am missing out on the DTS-MA also! I don't think there is. I have tried most everything. If it can't be done does anyone know why, or if Sony plans to address this issue in a future update? I HATE using the internal decoders and having to switch back and forth to bitstream just for DTS tracks when my 705 can do it all. Please help!

The best G2 is that the PS3 chipset simply cannot bitstream. You get decoded TrueHD via MPCM right now and there are strong indications (though no official announcement) that Sony will update the firmware to decode DTS HD MA. If you simply must bitstream, you'll need a stand-alone to do so.

Will that firmware update include the Sony BDPS500? I hope so,I just bought Independence Day on bd and I can't take advantage of the DTS-HD MA! it sucks! I also bought Pans Labyrinth for my A35 HD-DVD player and the movie decoded fine,(DTS-HD MA 7.1), it sounds awesome! too bad my bdps500 won't give me that awesomeness.

I was referring only to the PS3's prospective firmware update. I don't know about any such update for the S500, but I would tend to doubt it - the owner's thread would be your best source for any such info.
