It makes sense why they would wait for the release of a sequel to release the first one on blu, but it is not portraying the studios as smart when they know they are gonna release sin city 1, but then realize they are gonna release a sequel in the next three or four years. it like the head doesnt know what the ass is doing.
Disney showed clips of The Lion and the Witch and Wardrobe and the Pirates movies several times at Blu-ray's launch and they were promoted as coming soon. It took a year for the Pirates movies and 2 years for The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Remember this from the original Cars DVD release in October of 2006?

Saying a title is coming soon is nothing new for Disney. How long before those are actually released?

I don't care. I was addressing why it has not been released. They waited to release the POTC movies until the third one was released in theaters despite clips showing up many months in advance of a release date. They are releasing National Treasure with National Treasure 2's home video release. They are releasing the Narnia movie at the same time as the sequel's theatrical release. They released Cars at Ratatouille's home video release and I wouldn't be shocked if Finding Nemo's release date ends up being the home video release date of Wall-E. So it doesn't take a rocket scientist to make an educated guess why Sin City has not been released when we know there are talks of a sequel.
I know what you are saying. This ancient practice by all studios is as predictible and old as I can remember. I'm just saying I disagree with it and still question the supposed increased sales figures by not releasing a hot and ready, sellable title that BD fans are drooling for, for three damn years before the sequel is finally released on BD. IMO... It sucks and I think they are dead wrong in such sales projections. In otherwords, what the hell difference does it make to release both at the same time compared to having the title out the for three years worth of sales - birthdays, Christmas, new adaptors looking for great titles, etc before the sequal is released. Its a crock. Iv'e been corrected on this issue but still think its a worthless, non-value added practice for the customers and studios alike.
