Problems with Dan in real life

I had the same problem on my 80 gig PS3 when ever i tried to fast forward. When i didnt, it worked fine.

Hmm, tested rewinding and fast-forwarding a few minutes ago since I didn't initially try that when watching it. Still works fine on both of my PS3s. It's really strange that some are having issues and some aren't. I thought one of the big advantages of a console was everyone having the same hardware so that things are more consistent and predictable. That is, I thought everyone having essentially the same hardware would eliminate issues like this. Anyway, weird.

Im having the same problem, its very annoying. Glad im not the only one, wondering if its worth trying to exchange the movie then.

I'd just like to add my 60GB PS3 on FW 2.20 goes to a black screen whenever it seems I fast forward and/or rewind. Now I'm going to try to watch the entire movie without FF or Rewind.

I have a 40GB PS3 w/ firmware 2.20 and watch Dan in Real Life last night. I was aware that the problem might occur, and didn't happen to fast forward or rewind or anything until we got to the seen where Marie leaves. We paused it to take a break and when we got back the screen was black.
Had to quit playback and restart it and then jump to the chapter and search to the scene in hopes that it wouldn't go black again.

I happened two more times after that, each time directly related to rewinding it back about 20 seconds worth. Each time I was able to jump out and back in to finish watching the movie.

I wonder what was encoded differently that caused this to happen?

I was wondering if you all have blurriness in watching the movie. I see a lot when the actors move. Is anyone having this problem or is it cause the way i step up my ps3 and hdtv? Its like it outlines the actors.
