Darn. I read the Gizmodo article as if you could copy ANY BD onto the PSP.

This feature is not coming in the 2.20 update, but perhaps a later one.

Nobody's provided reliable proof yet that this will be in 2.20 but..

If this would allow any Blu-ray, or even any DVD movie, then that would be a system seller (PS3 and PSP) app IMO. But it is sounding like it will only be for titles with the digital copy on the disc. Still better than those lame itunes digital copy that have started showing up.

I am ok with this, but I prolly won't use it much. I rather have it on my ipod, so if I can get it, I will have to see how I can play with the file format to change it.
I think I-Pods can play MP4 AVC can't they.

Is there a list of movies that fall into this category?

Sorry to interject this here, but isn't that the same thing that Apple is doing with the iPod? I wish I could take my copy of I Am Legend onto my PSP but... that is Apple for ya, right there.

Not yet. The only ones so far are the ones that put the ipod/playforsure file on a seperate DVD, or CD. I don't think any have the file actually on the Blu-ray disc since that would require having a Blu-ray drive in your pc to copy the file. This portable copy update will at least give PS3 users a method of transfering a file stored on the actual BD. That is, if that is the method they are talking about. We are still all hoping it will be a software app on the PS3 that will transcode any BD you stick in, into a portable copy. That would be killer and wouldn't require any investment from any of the Studios.
