yea, i got it mainly for the blu-ray. also, for a game or two. I'm waiting on GTA IV. and i played COD4 and it was nice. I play the Wii more.
i have simple stuff for my setup. not too big in tech stuff.

tv: 32" sharp aquos 720p. i wont get 1080p on a 32". when i get a 40+ i'll get 1080p.
Receiver & speakers: i have a simple pioneer HTIB. I'm not into the loud stuff but wanted some surround and better speakers than my tv's speaker. When i buy a bigger and better tv i would buy a better system.

I'm happy with my setup. I guess it all about your own taste.
