Seriously. Everyone needs to make their peace with the fact that for the time being, we are just getting HD DVD ports.

it sucks but really... its not gonna bother me that much. the fact that they will play on my player and look better than they did before is good enough for me

Agreed. When it comes right down to it, I am far more willing to double dip on HDM than DVDs which I did a SH%t load of over the years.

What no re-encode ? No buy. I think Batman Begins will also be the same, a dual layer BR with about 28gb of empty space...

Well, it will have to be around 24GB of empty space or less (otherwise it would probably be on a single layer).

Anyway, I can make the sacrifice and buy it, if it has lossless audio. Otherwise, they can kiss...

Thank you for the hint, Pro-B. It not only has lossless audio but also the fabled IME ported over. It's a long time till June, I think it will be announced for the US, too, like V.
