i tried to connect my Samsung i730 via BT ages ago, with no luck. it also has IR, and would make a cool universal BT + IR remote.

I hate this iPhone crap....my Sony Ericsson phone from 2005 is still better and I can upgrade the memory to whatever I want...

but that's not why I am posting...

I'd like to be able to use a phone with a keyboard as a keyboard for my PS3.....maybe a Sidekick for instance or something similar...

that would be convenient...especially with bluetooth capabilities..

I charge my ATT Tilt with the PS3 all the time, but it only comes up as an "unknown USB device". It would rock if you could get drivers for this phone.

"According to NetBlender, iPhone and iPod touch users will be able to control their Blu-ray players using an application called BD Touch. The application will use the network capabilities of Blu-ray hardware and Apple's handheld devices to transfer data, allowing you to do many different things beyond controlling movie playback.

According to NetBlender:

• The iPhone application will be able to interact directly with movies, showing extra information in the iPhone.
• It will also be able to keep a database of your movie collection.
• BD Touch will also be able to get digital copies of the movies inside the Blu-ray disc, presumably already encoded for iPod touch and iPhone playback.

The only problem we see with BD Touch is the quote they gave to MacWorld UK:

The sophisticated user interface of the iPhone enables greater user interaction as well as the power to leverage the iPhone's existing network. Search, e-commerce and advertising possibilities related to movie content abound when one imagines real-time communication between the iPhone and the content currently being displayed on a Blu-ray player.

Possibility of buying/snatching a song while I'm listening to it in the movie soundtrack? Great. Advertising popping on my iPhone while I watch a movie? I was going to say "no thanks," but I just stopped at the "why?"

We will see how it exactly works when it gets announced this Thursday. [Netblender via MacWorld]"

The most powerful phone in the world to interact wit Blue-ray.. and I'm guessing PS3 will get involved...

it's still not worth it ....I don't think I would use these features...

not that other people wouldn't find it fun, I just wouldn't take time to do it...

Imagine the new PS3 store via the iPhone (like iTunes). Music, photo streaming from any phone content via blueooth..... sweetness!
Apple products don't impress me. I like bass so songs/music vids on a phone are pointless for me. Besides all that stuff just wastes battery life. I wouldnt want to buy more batterys just for that use.

Do you own one? Are you one of the masses who has picked one up.. played with it for a few minutes and derived your opinion off that limited use?

Also.. if in the future you could stream music off the iphone to the PS3 and it's connected to a $1500 amp.. alongside a $1000 sub.. I think I could get some bass for sure.

With extended internet usage..voice and every other contraption used on this thing with BT on all the time.. my battery lasts 5-6 days.. I think thats pretty damn good..

Don't get me wrong.. the iphone won't fry your eggs in the morning.. some think so..I've tried.. What it does do.. it does very very very well and its ease of use is off the hook.

What batteries would you need to be buying?
