Me too. With even more extras like the awesome Teaser Trailer and a Wolfgang Petersen tribute doc. This was a MASSIVE HIT back in 2000 and has a star studded cast... George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Diane Lane, John C Reilly, Karen Allen etc just to name a few. Plus the special effects were totally ground breaking at the time too.

I’d love this on 4k too, but it’s a big and doubtful “if”. It’s Warner Bros. They’re barely putting diddly-squat on 4k from their enormous back catalog.

I'd love to see "The Perfect Storm" get a 4K release too. WB only seems interested in putting in as little effort as possible with their catalog titles. Their efforts are focusing on well known, or highly regarded films or franchises celebrating Anniversaries. 2020 would have been ideal time to release a 20th Anniversary for PS but unfortunately it was completely overlooked.

"Troy" is another Wofgang Petersen film I hope gets a 4K release in 2024 for its 20th Anniversary with both the Theatrical and the Extended Director's Cut. And even though a lesser film on his resume, I really enjoyed Petersen's 2006 version of "Poseidon." Another film that I'd love to see get the UHD treatment. WB really needs to step up their game with their UHD output.

With Mr. Petersen's recent passing, it would be fitting to bring more of this talented directors body of work to the format.

In Search of Physical Media youtube says 4k coming for the 25th anniversary. says they are shooting for 2025 but big delays in 4k production with massive fall pipeline may push to 2026.
