if your tv accepts HDMI, the first thing you'll want to do is turn on the HDMI out function. That will allow you to see everything on the screen as you go through the process. If you have a system in place (no wire running), you should have no issue setting up in that time frame

OK I have hooked up the Onkyo 605 from my PS3 (via HDMI) then to the TV. Downloaded the update so the PS3 can decode DTS-MA.

I'm worried I forgot to set something up correctly but it does sound great.

One question is I have set the PS3 to LPCM instead of Bitstream and I checked all the boxes for 2.0 - 7.1, should I do that even though I just have 5.1?

Another question is I'm trying to compare scenes in movies from DTS-MA to the normal DTS 5.1, and it seems clearer on DTS-MA but not as loud......am I crazy or is that how it's suppose to sound?

Sorry for being such a noob!!! So far the Onkyo looks and sounds great though!
