There are starting to be some receivers with multiple HDMI outputs. There's a pretty good thread describing a lot of the features of the current gen receivers at HTL http://hometheaterlounge.com/vBullet...ead.php?t=3003

Once you've replaced that $300 bulb three or more times you'll understand. :-)

And how long do those bulbs last?
The bulbs are rated for 2000 hours, they can last longer, or shorter however. I've heard of bulbs that only lasted a few weeks

Again, why do you have two TVs right next to each other? It doesn't sound like you have a projection TV with light bulb issues, or do you? What are the TV models? Most Receivers are set up to manage and display on one TV, and not two. Many receivers that manage two zones only pass audio signals to the second zone.

As others have stated, you'll just need to get an HDMI switcher that will pass both audio and video, and place that between your receiver and two monitors. Hopefully you won't have any HDCP handshaking issues by introducing a switcher to the system.

your only options are to either get an HDMI switcher or return the Yamaha 663 and get a much higher end receiver. Most poeple are not looking for this feature so you will only see it in much higher end product

The Denon AVR-4308CI is there lowest priced with 2 Hdmi outs it's 2499.99
the Onkyo TX-NR905 is a little cheaper @ 2099.99
Best I can tell all Sony's only have 1 Hdmi out.
and if you want to stay with Yamaha it will really cost you the RNZ11 is the only one I saw with 2 HDMI outs 2 at @ 5499.99

I would go with the switcher, unless your are looking for a reason to get into the worl of higher end audio.

i do. i have my projector and a tv in the same room. don't use the projector for everything and sometimes, it's nice to use the ps3 on my LCD instead of the pj.

I bought my Denon AVR-4308CI from Ebay a few months ago for $1,800. It was brand new in an unopened box with all the warranty papers. It is currently listed by another dealer for the same price.

Don't get a switcher. Get a SPLITTER that can do all of the HD modes that comes out of your receiver.
