I'm really hoping the new Punisher movie is good. I didn't hate the first, but I don't love it either. 2010 is already shaping up. Iron Man 2 and Superman: MOS. It's hard to think back to that barren period in the 90's where Batman was the only superhero franchise.

I heard it was because of special effects overload with beast being in the movie... But IDK.

Gambit has always been my favorite character... I wish he'd come in. Though I usually like unknown actors more than known ones I'd like to see Josh Holloway (sawyer from Lost) play him... I think he fits pretty good.

I think they even had the part of Gambit cast for X3, it was just cut. Same way they tried to have Beast in X1 and X2, but didnt want to spend on the extra effects, plus have that many people running around in full blue makeup.

Maybe they should just add a Gambit movie the the list with Wolvie and Magneto.

yeah but it'd be hard to do a gambit movie without him being with Rogue... and unless they make gambit young it might be odd for him to date the chick that plays rogue in X-Men.

Is that why they cut Nightcrawler out of X3? I was pissed I didn't see him.

he was cut from x3 because there was no good part for him in the script. They could not find a way to fit him in and have it make sense.

I should have added that the script as a whole was not that great and no one had a good part IMO. But I did have some friends that liked X3 better then the others. But that is what was said about Nightcrawler not returning for X3, they could not fit him in well enough to have him return although they did want him in the film.

Classic Hollywood move. Since they made money of the franchise, they want to even ruin it more. I would say forget X-Men and Give me Green Lantern, or even Silver Surfer Movie. Or even better, give me Justice League the Movie to take over X-Men.

Gambit, Deadpool and Beak have all been confirmed for the Wolverine movie.

Last I heard Nightcrawler wasn't in X-3 because some corporate dipstick didn't want three blue characters in a movie already over-saturated with characters (for mainstream audiences).

Coincidentally, Green Lantern is on imdb for 2010. No other information, though.

Supposedly there an underground uproar when Jack Black was announced for a "silly" Green Lantern. I only heard about the after-effects, never heard about it when it happened. It IS supposed to be in the works.
Thor, Captain America, and Ant-Man are supposed to be next for Marvel, leading up to Avengers (haven't heard much on the Silver Surfer or Doctor Strange properties, though), and Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Aquaman, I believe, for DC (Justice League has been shelved for now).
For comics fans, it will be an exciting upcoming decade, as long as people that care about the characters are in charge.

I know that WB is planning to jump start Aquaman the Tv series right after smallville that same year, they are planning a movie release for aquaman. so as long as smallville still showing, you won't see anything about Aquaman. They already picked an actor to play aquaman that is that guy who plays the green bandit in smallville. I have the pilot episode saved on the HDD of my computer. Green lantern However, Jack Black are you F@#$%^&* serious. the guy is a good/comedian actor, I can never see him in a serious character such as green lantern.

Ah, ok. I don't hear (or traditionally follow) DC as much.

Black wasn't supposed to be serious, that's why so many people were pissed.

Oh, and Routh mentioned something about Justice League and Batman Vs. Superman

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=44495

CS: There was a lot of talk about a "Justice League" film, but sounds like it's not going to happen now. Did they ever talk to you about appearing in that?
Routh: They talked to me about it, yes, but I think someone else asked me if they ever offered me the role and they did not. I'm happy that we're talking about "Man of Steel" again and "Batman" looks great and is coming out and that looks great and I think it's time for those two characters, certainly, to flourish and some of the DC Comic Universe to strike out on their own first and strengthen each character individually and then to go at all of them together.

CS: Have you changed your stance on doing a movie together with Christian Bale playing Batman, just the two of you?
Routh: I've been asked that question many times and at first, I think I've been quoted as saying that Superman and Batman should never fight each other which makes sense to me. They should be fighting together on the same team, but Christian is certainly a great actor and a very nice guy. I'm excited for the new "Batman." So I'll open up my view because I know that people want to see it and maybe there's a story that could be told that way that makes sense to me. So I won't put it out anymore. I won't say no anymore.

Interesting...I am a hardcore comic dude, so things have to make sense to me if you know what I mean.

Give me a Flash movie. Maybe I will talk to my boy Geoff Johns to pen one. I am not too hip on other DC properties other then Superman and Batman. I hope the next Superman movie is good.
