I Work At Target And I Used To Be The Entertainment Specialist And I Can Tell You Exactly What Happens When You Break Streetdate. You Get An Email From Someone At Corporate That Lists All The Stores That Broke Streetdate(Usually Every Store In The Area) And Then There Is A Cute Little Note That Says Something Along These Lines..

"streetdate for Insert Movie Title Here was broken and we need to make sure that all streetdate is in the streetdate section in the stockroom and is correctly labeled as "streetdate". Although Target was not fined, we could be fined in the future if selling streetdate early occurs"

I Got An Email Like That Every Week For A Whole Year And We Were Never Fined. Empty Threats
