Orlando is nice. Dont forget to hit up the new Simpsons Ride at Universal Theme Park. Replaced Back to the Future ride. If your on a money limit then Parks might not be the smart thing, I get in for free since my sister works part time at Uni and Disney, so always get free passes when we go down. But there is plenty of stuff to do down there.

Yeah I heard Cedar Point is great for Roller Coaster lovers. When my kid gets a little older well have to make a trip

I may run the D.C. Marathon in October. I was considering a Spanish-immersion program in Costa Rica this year - until I discovered the joys of Blu-ray.

The upside to that is you can import Spanish movies! I thought about doing a japanese immersion class just for anime and game imports .... but yeah, it never panned out.

true but there is truth when people say, for instance in AZ that it's a 'dry' heat. Having experienced both types I still vote for Florida in August as being worse.

90+ degrees with 100% humidity is NOT fun at all unless your near a beach or pool. the humidity down south east is just disgusting during the summer. It's like walking around with a hot, soaking wet velour blanket wrapped around your whole body

More like a thick layer of funk on your skin, but yea, it can be rough. I'd still take it over gray and gloomy RI. I miss the South (28 more hours!)

About a week from now, we'll be going to Colorado Springs, CO. Have some relatives there, can stay on the ranch we own. We'll be in a hotel for a few nights first, to see more stuff outside Co. Springs. Then we'll kick back and enjoy the vast nothingness on the ranch.

People visiting Memphis always gets me. Unless you are an Elvis fan, or a blues guy. I live in Memphis and cannot wait to move away from here in a few months. I guess it could be a nice place to visit but never, I say never live here. Corrupt Politicians, Huge Crime Rate, and The Worst Drivers Ever.

I would take a Arizona 120 degree day any day of the week over Florida's 90's with their common 85-100% humidity. Trust me your Arizona heat is nothing compared to what Florida residents have to go through.

And to add to this post nowhere, because when the economy sucks which it does, so does my work which has now slowed to a crawl! No money to waste on taking trips this year.
