I agree. They'll continue to make Spidey movies until one flops, and then we'll probably still get one after that, so they can be sure it wasn't a fluke. There's no reason for them not to, the series draws in huge dollars when it is in the box office, and will bring in huge dollars on DVD/BD. I still have my Superbit versions of Spidey 1 and 2, but please believe that when they come out on BD, they will be purchased.

but even pirates, if something is making that much money for them they will always consider a 4th, 5th, etc...of course that wont stop them from selling a trilogy box set anyway.
i could have sworn i heard somewhere that Bruckheimer or maybe it was Johnny Depp that would want to do six pirates movies...who knows.

I believe it was a Time mag. article back around the time when P2 came out. Depp commented that he could see himself doing more Pirates fims, as many as 6 (paraphrasing).

I dunno about more pirates. IMHO POTC II was worse than the first one. SFX were better, but overall as a movie, it was less impressive and original than its predecessor. So, I don't really hold high hopes for the 3rd POTC.

Spiderman on the contrary, second was as good as the 1st one, with beter SFX.

That didn't hold true for X3, but I think Spidey 3 is shaping up to be one of the best superhero movies ever.

For me personally my favourite is X2.

I thought POTC II was confusing and mostly boring. At times I felt the urge to walk out of the theater. I did realize it was only 1/2 of a two-parter, so that could be why it has that "incomplete" feel to it. At any rate I'll buy it and if I see Pt2&3 together hopefully they'll make more sense.

I can see Spider-man 2 being released before 3, but I think they'll hold the first one for later release. Disney is actually doing everyone a favor by releasing the first two at the same time, as business wise it makes sense to spread it out (you don't want to canabalize your market).

I hope both are released on blu-ray in time for Spidey3.

Everything I've read suggests the the main cast only signed on for 3 movies and will not return for a fourth..

Which means, oh God, a Batman style scenario with new actors replacing Maguire and Dunst to keep the franchise going.

Noooooooooooooooo. No one else can play Mary Jane.

Elisha Cuthbert can take her place anytime and I'd be ok..
