Er... Resistance is a first person shooter with quite a lot of violence.
For less violent content, go with: Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Yes, I know it has a violent name. But it's cartoony CGI violence, no worse than your average Loony Toon cartoon. This is the closest you'll ever be to being inside a Pixar film, and it's a bonus that it happens to be an extremely fun and engaging game as well. LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga Fun and harmless, with more unlockables than you can shake ten sticks at. Also, if you've got a backward compatible non-40GB PS3 (60, 80, 20) you should definitely check out the quite large catalog of PS2 games, including the quite excellent Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 and Shadow of the Colossus. |

Ill check it out as well.
what about heavenly sword. someone mentioned it earlier. I looked up the trailer online as well as some reviews. it looks rather engaging but some people have said the replay value sucks. They also said that the last couple stages are harder than SHIT! anyone here with personal experience? |

I didn't consider the last few stages difficult; they're only harder than the rest of the game, which is borderline laughably easy. Rent it, don't buy it (speaking as someone who owns it). |

Folklore is pretty close to being a classic adventure type game even down to the not completely free-roaming world. The story and atmosphere are great and there are two sides to play. It's kind of like Uncharted in the sense of being an action adventure but Folklore leans a little more toward the classic adventure style. Like Uncharted, there are some combat elements and some of the elements may be considered RPG-like. Great game though and I meant to list that one last night but forgot. The post asking about straight adventure games jogged my memory on that.
![]() As far as The Orange Box, it includes Half-Life 2, the addons Episode 1 and Episode 2, a puzzle game, Portal (a lot of people really like Portal), and Team Fortress 2. Edit: As for Heavenly Sword, as I mentioned already, it's probably my favorite game but I have gotten stuck in a couple of areas and essentially had to cheat to get around them. Part of that is that I'm just a casual gamer though and don't spend enough time with them to get good enough to get past some of the more challenging aspects. A lot of people completed the game fairly quickly but that hasn't been an issue for me. ![]() Last edited by owa; 05-31-2008 at 08:52 PM. |

My personal suggestion would be Lego Indiana Jones and MGS4!
