No, make sure the phase is set appropriately for your room. If 0 was always the correct setting there wouldn't be a control for it, now would there?

Again, test discs and the amp's own test tones will help here.

I can't say for sure, but I think that if you have your monitor calibrated by a professional, they will calibrate the sound as well including the subwoofer.
I know the guy that did mine calibrated the sound, but I am not sure if the subwoofer was included.
My Receiver also has a mic calibration thing so I assume if can adjust it there as well but I think the advice others gave is great, I'll have to try that out myself.

BTW... love the Porcupine Tree cover.
