I bought 2 PS3's at launch and sold one and the first guy that won the auction was a 0 feedback scammer, and obviously was never going to pay me. I had to relist it but I did well on it. This time, sellers are being targeted again.

I put catches in my auction that say "No bidders if your feedback is less than 5 unless you contact me first." Then I just cancel bids if a "spammer" comes through and it has really helped out alot on my auctions, especially if I'm selling a console.

A seller or someone they know creates an account, and bids on the item close to the end of the auction, hoping someone else swoops in at the last second and wins the auction, paying a higher price.

In these cases, there were no other buyers, resulting in the 0 feedback shill bidders winning the auction (the sellers themselves).
