UGH! I'm a DBZ fan, and I can definitely say that I disapprove of this movie! I mean... how can the fights be ANYWHERE near what they should be? Until man can fly, that is. Though... Matrix Revolutions' final fight was kinda DBZ-esque.

Um, for those who never watched the series...

If that's how they first meet, that ain't the way fans heerd it--Anime-Goku's perception of girls-vs.-guy-stuff hadn't significantly progressed since he was 10, and his getting married to Chichi was literally an accident.
(And no, fans haven't yet answered the question of "If Goku still thinks 'girls are weird and fighting is cooler', why do they already have two kids?"

)
She's in the movie though, so they could have a tournment chick-battle with Mai--Despite the fact that Chichi retired from fighting after she was married, hated the idea of Goku pursuing tournaments instad of working, and Mai was only one of a pair of comedy-relief lackeys working for the incompetent Emperor Pilaf, who disappeared after the first series.

We would like to apologize to Street Fighter fans for the earlier poster:
At least the Street Fighter movie was relatively close to its original story...

Most of it is in context with the original "Dragon Ball" (no Z) series, which the movie now believes it's trying to adapt.
(Ie., back when Piccolo was still an enemy Goku fought at tournaments, and the heroes were still searching for the seven balls.)

In fact, most of Z can make more sense in context with the Original series, except that the Original's a lot harder to find on disk.

Well, if you think about it, Dragon Ball Z is ahead of our time. They drive hover cars and can go anywhere they want in space.

Ok. Roshi is the other guy. Bulma must be the one with the gun. Chi Chi must be the one beside him. And the woman at the top might be the Villian.

Well at least have certain characteristics. Goku: Little more in shape with longer hair. Keep Chi Chi the same. Bulma with blue hair. Roshi a little older looking. Stuff like that. If Krillan was in it. Short bald guy. Picallo? He doesn't have to be green.
