That appears to be the case. (I've since learned not to complain about my last two shipments bordering on "lost in the mail" time-limitations. )
Amazon gives you the option ( ) of Priority Mail, but DeepDiscount.com picks the cheapest alternative ahead of time, which would be Media Mail.

...Still worth it for the free shipping, but in these days of crisis, we must accept Circumstances Beyond Their Control.

Um, ya it is Buy.com's fault for using this service. I ordered 3 movies. One came (free) a couple days after being shipped. The other two still have yet to arrive that were sent using Deep Discount. How is this not Buy.com's fault? I rated them extreemely poor on the shipping part of the evaluation they asked me to fill out. Maybe if enough people do that it'll fix the problem. I wouldn't mind so quite as much if the packages were at least on a tracking system so I could see where they were. I have used Amazon.com and Walmart.com's free shipping and not had this kind of service.

I ordered Twister for $7.08 from Deep Discount (via Buy.com) on Wednesday. The shipment reference i received says 3-15 days delivery...quite an open time frame, but for the price, and free shipping i'm not really going to complain, especially when they are upfront about their shipping speeds (or lack of)

I just order Face/Off and Resident Evil from Buy.com with Deep Discount as the supplier. Wow, this is going to be a long wait. But for $8.50 each I'm not complaining unless it gets lost, then I will be super piss. I order Planet Earth from Deep Discount before and swore to never buy from them again but with the GCO, I couldn't resist.

but if you order a movie from buy.com you dont experience this problem just avoid the ones you see that are from deep discount in most cases are the cheap ones thats a deal. If you dont have patience then yes using amazon or walmart would be a smarter choice

I understand, I would use them again with GCO. However, I am our of credit card numbers for GCO and today is the last day.

The movies I ordered that were sent by deep discount were Jumper, and The Eye, both bran new releases. The one that was shipped quickly was There Will Be Blood that has been out for a while. I had no idea about the shipping or the lack of tracking with deep discount. With other shippers free shipping movies usually arrive a day or two before the estimated date of arrival, AND you can track them. IMHO this deep discount is a terrible way of doing buisiness, others offer free shipping, and don't have the same problems.

I hear they pay high school kids that just got their licences to drive your blu-rays out to your place. Perhaps the kids are hitch hiking to save on gas? Definetly seems that way. Or perhaps their using Owls like in Harry Potter?

This seems a little long to wait...
I am extremely happy with the amazon "prime" arrangement. $79 once a year! Most of the time they ship on monday & the two day shipping delivers on wed., the day after release. No gas, good prices, low price guarantee and predictable arrival. All that for $1.52/week. 163 blu-rays so far.

Looks there are two ***** session threads about DD right now. 6 days agao I place an order and it still hasn't shipped and they say they can't cancel it. I will never again order from DD, I don't care how good the deals are. This is the kind of place that is going to go out of business overnight and leave hundreds of people with credit cards charges and no product.

Buy.com is in my bad list also for cancelling orders on me and not telling me, then not honoring the original pricing...

After what seemed like an infinity on hold I finally got through to a customer service supervisor who now tells me that a hold was placed on the order as a result of "an internal programming error." Interesting that the last two times I called, no one knew anything about this error and in fact I was told the order was already shipped. The order still cannot be cancelled becuase they are in the process of putting it together right now. I don't quite understand that one. If it hasn't gone out the door and my credit card hasn't been charged then there should be no reason it can't be cancelled.
