For me, MAG, I guess, just from a technical standpoint and wanting to see if they can pull it off (kind of like HOME).

To be honest though, I rarely play online and I've never played any of the Final Fantasy games. My only exposure to the FF franchise is the movie The Spirits Within.

From the way the thread exploded, I'd say FF13 was the bigger news for most though. It exploded like some of the studio exclusive threads. Heh, I figured the thread had been merged with an old one so I was pretty surprised to see they were new posts.

I didn't see the thread, but how much of it was just Xbox people showing up to have a laugh and point at the PS3 people?

I still think it was bigger news, because it applies to more people, and came as a shocking surprise.

Though I personally am still more interested in MAG, I don't think it was the bigger news.

It was largely a handful of folks being upset about the announcement, and defending their perspective.

For me, MAG was bigger as I have never really gotten into the FF series before and really enjoy Warhawk, and to mean this seems like the ultimate successor to it with giant online and huge variety of weapons and vehicles.

I don't really know how someone could vote for MAG. They showed a crappy CG trailer that didn't even look good. Yeah they said 256 or whatever multiplayer, but for all we know it could look and play like garbage, and really more people doesn't always equal better.

NO, its because MAG sounds more like a game that I will like, I will buy FF XIII , but MAG is something I will look forward too.

You could also say the only people not giving MAG a chance are doing it because it's not Xbox's.

True, but I care more about what brand of TP I use then I do about Final Fantasy. Much, much more interested in MAG. If people can play the game right instead of going free-for-all, it will be epic.

I agree, MAG sounds like a game I'm much more interested in, but as far as what's the bigger news, I think FF by far is the bigger news. Not enough has been seen of MAG, and the crappy CG they did show wasn't enough to grab my attention. To be honest, had they just shown that trailer and didn't mention how many people could be in it, no one would be excited about it. I'll wait until I see gameplay of course to make up my mind, but as far as the bigger news, I still think it's FF.

Exactly. I've never played one, nor do I care to.

EDIT: The option in the poll is wrong. "We" didn't lose anything. FF is still coming to the PS3, it's just also going to the Xbox.

I'm not going to bash Final Fantasy, because I really liked a few of the games (4, 6, and 7 are all great, in my opinion). The problem is, as I got older, I play less video games, and I'm pickier about the games I play.

That being said, I don't think I can invest the 100+ hours of time into a game that I'm essentially sitting around playing by myself. I wouldn't have thought this would happen, but I spend most of my video game paying time these days playing things online (Warhawk, CoD4, Rock Band, etc). If a game has no multi-player, I'm hard-pressed to buy it.

P.S. I can always use some more PSN friends, and currently have 0 from the BD forums.

I guess its all just perspective. It wasnt 1st party so its really not all that surprising that they want a bigger base to sell to. Its not like they get money when a PS3 console sells because of their game so they couldnt care less, unfortunately.

FF XIII is the biggest news that I didn't give a crap about. PS3 owners lose nothing anyways. MS fans talk it up as the death knell for the PS3, yet why wasn't it the death knell for the 360 when it was only on the PS3, typical fanboy hypocrisy. IMO Bioshock is a bigger gain for the PS3.

Best news is hard for me, God of War III is fantastic news

PS3's line up easily being the most impressive. Dissappointed by the Wii's announcements..
