The action scene may have been awesome but the voice acting is HORRENDOUS! But I'll still see it. Just like every other Star Wars movie.

Most certainly not. But look at TMNT and you will see that even non realistic CG can look awesome.
I was passing on this after the trailer; thanks for posting, it was interesting to see, but I still pass.

Same here. George Lucas needs to retire or move on.

It'll be corny dialogue - it'll be bad CGI - but dammit it's Star Wars and I'm a fanboy, so I will give Lucas more of my money for stuff like this.

That trailer got me all excited to see this. Whoo!

for people wondering why the CGI isn't Pixar level.

1. They wanted to make the CGI resemble the Clone Wars cartoon series.

2. They want the CGI to be exactly the same as the TV series that directly follows the movie. They can't be putting out half hour or hour long Pixar quality CGI quality shows every week, so this is what they went for.

That's right stockstar. This movie is the first three episodes of the TV series. People seem to forget that.

yeah for people complaining about this being too much star wars, they fail to realize that in about 10 years the 6 movies are only going to make up about 10% of all the star wars footage out there between the two TV series and this movie.

We have a lot more Star Wars coming!

Why can they put out a 30 minute show pixar quality...I'm pretty sure the people that make star wars are rich...arent they?....Oh wait they just want to milk milk milk and spend less as they can...WTF did they get the creator of samurai jack to draw this? LMMFAO

jk jk...sorry i just wish people would put more money into there products...not cut corners.... but they could put a bag of trash in a star wars box and it would still move alot of units...

its just not feasible

money can't buy you time and unless you are going to have a massive crew working on this, you can't make it pixar quality.

just think pixar is an entire movie studio and it takes them a full year to make a 2 hour pixar film, lucas is going to be shelling out a 30 min or 60 min (can't remember how long they are) every single week on the budget that a regular TV show gets.

and the animation isn't that bad, its just a different style than people are used to. yeah the faces/bodies aren't incredibly detailed (but hey, neither are pixars), but the ships, environments, etc. look fantastic.

Reviews are starting to come in for the new Star Wars animated movie and they aren't looking good... at all.

Just as I predicted.

Two reviews, one by Harry and one by a frequent reviewer were posted earlier today on Ain't It Cool News. Both were taken down within hours. Both reviews were pretty brutal. I guess either George Lucas or Warner Bros. didn't like what they were seeing.

Yeah, I'm sure GL and WB are shaking in their boots.

I'm going to play devil's advocate and point out how they obviously aren't going to show any part of the 45 minutes worth of horrendous dialogue scenes that are likely to accompany the rest in the preview. I like eye candy as much anyone, but not looking forward to the down-time in this movie. I'll check it out eventually, but not looking for anything great.

Then why would they impose an embargo on the reviews until the release date? A lot of studios impose them in order to prevent financial losses caused by the bad reviews.

Besides, why release a Star Wars movie in August? The month is the dumping ground for summer movies.

Can't wait to see this. That clip has me even more excited. It's a shame it isn't a Fox release though. Has me a bit worried for the Blu-ray release.

Since it isnt Fox, if it comes out on Blu you know it will be cheaper though.

All conjecture, or do you have proof on any of this?
