The first time the 80 gig sold out they only had 70k for all stores we don't know how they got this time, the 28k was said it was due to a shortage of PS3's as the PS3 hasn't sold less than 50k since June and hasn't been that low since October when the price cut was about to happen.

i think the wii is good for what it is. i play games like mario kart, smash bros brawl and a few others. but the reason i got the wii is not for the innovative technology and high def gaming that's why i got my PS3.

LOL! so very true. I have a few friends that have one of those....things. And that is exactly how it is. But yea unfortunatly i can't see either one of the other consoles (PS3 360) beating it. saaad state of affairs.

it must be a family thing, most of the poeple i know who have a Wii have families with children, i dont know anyone who is single who has one.
ive seen them in bars as well as nursing homes. they have their place in this world and people like them.. i dont think they are for the serious gaming crowd. (im not a serious gamer more like a casual enthusiast).
just goes to show you best selling doesnt mean best platform.

#1 reason the wii is selling so well! people only want something when they can't get it. once they got it. it's like ..."eh" that's how i am at least. people buy the wii cause they hear other people talking about it. and figure it's so cheap and it's "next gen" (they don't know) so they are hyped even tho they haven't owned a system since the atari so they think the graphics are good. also most bargain shoppers don't have HDTVs anyway so no need for fancy gaming systems. it's just a FAD and now i think it will hurt the next generations consoles when they come out.
