Question Pioneer’s breakthrough (consequences).

With the advent of Pioneer’s breakthrough and the additional layers of memory (appear to be in 25gig increments) do you think that a 75gig or 100gig disc could be developed for longer than normal films such as LoTR extended cut enabling the very best possible picture and sound.

small runs mean more money, unless they actually mass produce 100GB discs it wont happen or it will just up the cost a fair bit.

were also assuming all current players can play a 100GB disc let alone a 500GB one.

I guess we will see in a year or two

And I want 100GB movies for best possible PQ and SQ.
It's nice that they work to make 500 GB discs, but they should focus on making 100 GB discs valid for Movies and not just data

It appears that the 500gig disc is compatible. Should be no reason why a 100gig cannot be too. Maybe this will have more applications with PS3 games than actual movies.

Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed at most PS3 games. I feel like they should be better in terms of graphics. MGS4 was a good game I think, but one of the few that utilized the graphics.
