It's an old ghost story. Originated from mexico too like the chupacabra. Basically the story goes.....this lady who had kids and stuff fell in love with this guy, but he said he wouldn't get married to her and stuff unless she killed her kids because they aren't his, and he want's his own with her. So she drowned them at a lake and when she went to him after doing so he changed his mind and didn't want to be with her. So they say at night you could hear her crying and weeping for her kids.
