Default OMG it finally came!, my first surround system!

OMG it just came in!!!!!
My first surround audio receiver and speakers for my lovely 46" XBR2.

- Onkyo TX-SR606 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver

- Klipsch Synergy Series Quintet III 5-Piece Home Theater Speakers (purchased a couple days ago and set it up)

- Sony SA-W3000 Performance Line 12" 180-Watt Subwoofer

I can't believe my .1 costs $200!!!

I CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOME!

What movie do you recommend for my first surround experience?

First of all, CONGRATS! From the look of your setup, sounds like it'll be great!

Don't forget to buy all the right cables!!!

I recommend watching Cloverfield on Blu-Ray.

I'd try and find a 7.1 flick personally.

Otherwise Cloverfield, Doomsday, Master and Commander are some good choices.

Why he doesn't have 7.1?

Casino Royale. Cars. Pirates 3 (the 'Good Business' chapter).

Thumbs up

Good show man ! It won't matter what you listen to. If this is your first surround system EVERYTHING will sound kick ass ! You might have to have a blow out movie fest. Plus some concert blu's are a must as well !!!

grats. Make sure you get it properly set up and calibrated!
The best sound, just like the best image, has to be carefully fine tuned. If the placement is off, the sound will be off. If the volumes are unbalanced, you will hear it.
