I don't think using a guide to find Treasures in Uncharted to ultimately obtain Trophies is cheating. That's how I got them.

I got 44 treasures found with not guides. I beat the game on normal. I'm not a trophy hunter and not sure I'll ever sit there and try to achieve 100% on this game.

Even my favorite game, Warhawk - I'm not trying for all the trophies. Just playing the game and having fun.

I feel your pain, having to redo Crushing Mode on Drake's Fortune was definitely a PITA for the Earn Crushing and Platinum trophy . The one I kept having trouble with was the Water Room level and both the Church Courtyard scenarios but that was mostly due to the enemy characters hitting you from different sides. The only thing I can suggest is to make a LOT of use of the free aim mode (and switch shoulder viewpoints often) and also familiarize yourself with the enemy trigger points (the specific points that you hit as Drake that activate the enemy character entrance into the level) and NEVER NEVER hesitate running out of the immediate area that the enemies are concentrated in (if you can) to catch your breath. If you're patient and make use of the AI's overeagerness to come after you and expose themselves to your weapons fire, then you will prevail.

Why would someone cheat to get a trophy? Do you really want to be reminded evertime you look at it that you didn't earn it? I'd feel like such a dirty ***** if I cheated to get a little digital trophy.

its a status thing i think. except the only problem is IRL nobody cares how many PSN trophies you have....with the exception of Idealsupra of course.

I managed to find 56 treasures before I had to turn to a guide for help. I think that's pretty good.

I used the kill and die stratergy on steel fist expert and would find it hard to believe anyone who said they didnt. also i used it on the expert dyno-might but that is quite easy to get through normal gameplay...but i was being lazy. I didnt need a treasure map as id already found all the treasures when the game was first released. I dont feel i cheated just bent the rules a little bit and i sleep soundly in my bed at night

Depends on the game and what you'd consider cheating. If by using a guide to find things you can't find, yeah i've done it enough. All the flags in Assassins Creed, or the treasures in Uncharted. There are things though that I think cheating is a bit silly like in COD4 to get a gold gun, I am aware that people are going into cage matches with their friends and shooting eachother in the head for hours and hours to say they got a gold gun. Kind of ruins the point of the experience. I finally got my first red tiger and am proud of it because I worked at it. Trophies, achievements whatever they are were ingenious to get people to replay games or try different things though. I know I am more inclined to replay areas to find things that likely I would have otherwise been.

I agree. What's the point in getting and comparing trophies with your friends if BOTH of you know you cheated to get them? I haven't used ANY cheat at all for any of my trophies... Which is why I don't have 100% in SSHD or Uncharted. Though i'm not 100% done with them, I still haven't cheated. And hope I wont have too. Though the nukes and treasures are hard ass trophies.

For me too. I'm not sure I have to time to search for all the treasures, so I'll probably never be a 100% on Uncharted.

Treasures aren't too bad in Uncharted. None are really *that* out of the way. If you don't have a guide just a little searching is good enough to find them. I found 55 of them before looking at a guide. Once I looked where they were, I noticed that I just wasn't looking in that particular area.
