How do you know? The regular DVD was a 3 disc edition...so that doesn't follow their track record for this release.

No extras have been announced. You'd think if there were any they wouldn't have forgotten to mention them two weeks or less before the release! And as I say, previous ITV DVDs aren't exactly rolling in extras.

For all we know, the decision could be made for them if BD50s are hard to come by (and remember, the discs are probably manufactured in Europe somewhere)

They also have no info on specs either. I'm holding out hope.

it's very rare UK releases have detailed specs (our PR really is crap), but normally they mention extras - after all they are trying to sell the disc.

This is ITV we're talking about here, they can't even be bothered to have their discs shrinkwrapped...

Not precisely. The UK DVD featured a DTS track. Hopefully it is a typo.

I wasn't gonna buy it, but it was on offer by mistake, so I picked it up with District 13,(listed on Amazon for 6th (October), and Mongol. Just waiting to get home now and check out my haul.

I've ordered this too, but I can't believe there gonna put Dolby Digital 5.1 on it. Can anyone confirm this yet, also what the picture quality is like?

I agree with R. Duke at AVS. Very good looking disc. Definitely a keeper for myself.

I am gonna wait before picking this one up. I too despise the coffee table book releases that Warner has foisted on us. If this ITV release has a nice transfer and audio track, I will forgo the extras rather than buy the U.S. version.

So far, I have purchased the UK versions of "Bonnie and Clyde," "Dirty Harry," "Magnum Force," "The Enforcer," "Sudden Imact," and "The Dead Pool." All are fully region-free and come in the slightly thicker keep case packaging. I also plan on getting the UK "Poltergeist" and "How the West Was Won." Can anyone confirm that those titles are also region-free?

Default one of the best disks out there!!!!!!!!!

The picture quality is absolutely stunning and so is the sound. The picture quality is one of the best that i have seen in back catalogue titles. The detail is stunning, more so than i expected. I thought it would looks good but the detail on the faces and rocks makes this one of my favourite blu ray disks to date. The sound is DD5.1 which sounds brilliant through my surround sound set up.

Some people are saying about there being no extras but there are actually a large amount. Commentries, documentries, interviews, etc.

As I live in the UK I do not know if the extras will work in the US due to them being in 576p.

If you don't mind about extras this is one of the best transfers to date and it really is worth the upgrade.
