Not worth it IMO. Trial be over by the time they ship you a movie.

the Blu Ray format works! I went to enable it..and it says the 1 dollar a month will be charged AFTER the 22nd(when the one month expires)

I guess you dont need to answer my Q as I kinda did myself..it will bill me after the 21st of Oct. So I just need to cancel by then.

I'd make sure to know when the billing date is, but yes they will not charge you until after the 30 days have passed. If you really want to be sure you can cancel a couple of days prior to the 22nd. Please note also that at the last minute you can even downgrade to their cheapest plan even though you have 3 movies out. They will just not ship any movies until you return the ones you have. I believe they also let you cancel and not charge you even though you still have movies out, but other members in the forum can correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not 100% sure that is the case now (been a Netflix member for a while)...

Hmmm you don't get anything huh ..... maybe you should trying be honest in your posting, because that deal has been floating around for a couple weeks now and for every person you get to sign up, you get a free additional rental.

My mailer said nothing about me getting anything additional.

It simply said "give 1 month of Netflix to your family and friends"

If you don't have the specific mailer in front of you, don't make assumptions based on what you think I may or may not be getting.

Even if I did misread and I do get another rental, it's not going to benefit me as I am away from my house 12+ hours a day (and sleeping for 7 of the remaining + 1 hour for dinner, 1/2 hour getting ready for work, 15 minutes eating breakfast, walking the dogs multiple times, eating dinner, etc ) so the only time a movie gets watched is on the weekend. And there is only so much time I can sit on the couch watching movies. Plus, "IF" there is a additional rental, I would assume that it would be contingent upon the free month person maintaining a memebership beyond the free trial period. I never expected anyone to do that (nor did I ever suggest that) and if they did, it would only be because they found the service to be worthwhile.

Some people are not out to prey on folks to make a buck...there are some of us that are truly generous and if we have something to share, we do it. I did it in the past with CC coupons and never asked for or took anything in return...I simply had coupons after buying a Wii that I wasn't going to use that I figured someone on here could.
