I have a PS3, but was thinking about buying one of those earlier Blu-ray standalone players (for another room) when the prices drop this holiday season. I hope Amazon is able to send out the corrected discs...

I placed an order last week, week of Sept. 15th, for Iron Man and was told it was being shipped on Thursday the 18th. As of today, I still hadn't received the movie so I called customer support. It seems I have been issued a refund for the order and the CS rep. told me that all the Iron Man movies they had were on recall. Has anyone else been told this from Tower? I know some people have gotten their copies already and have been having playback issues with theirs. I'm wondering if they are on recall because of the playback issues, or because they were shipping the movie out before the release date and the movie studio found out. Any thoughts on this subject?

Yeah, mine was cancelled.

Which works out better for me. I had paid for the $5 shipping but I can just pick it up for $27.99 at Best Buy or Target.

Mine showed to ship from them last Thurs (the 18th) via 2nd day shipping. As of right now, it is still showing 'shipped' on their site and I have not received any email regarding my copy being cancelled, recalled or refunded

Yeah, told the same thing but surprisingly, my status online hasn't changed yet and I haven't received any e-mails yet. So, I'm still worrying about it at the moment.

I hope they issue refunds to all the people who ordered but got it shipped already.
