This would delay the impact of the alcohol (albeit, not much) on his body, a definite value considering his line of work. Stirring the Martini, on the other hand (when done correctly) simply chills the alcohol to the desired temperature, leaving its potency in-tact. Just a little knowledge from someone with some bar training in their past...

Indeed, so the funny thing is, Bond prefers a diluted Martini lol. He should at least have the Bond, James Bond line though....

I like the new more realistic twist on James Bond. They had no choice once Jason Bourne came along, because the Bourne series made the Pierce's Bond look like an absolute joke. The realistic/reset of Bond had to be done and if I remember correctly he did switch up the shaken not stirred line, but he did say Bond... James Bond at the very end of the movie.

The first real glimpse we caught of Bond was at the end of Casino Royale when he caps the guy at the end.

No reason to rush the character development.
Do we really want future Bond back? Pre-Bond is so much better IMO, so would they really feel the need to bring the series back to where they were before (Downgrade).

CR is one of my all time favorite movies and I would love it if Bond could still have character development, but possibly in a different direction than going back to future Bond.

Connery never said "BOnd, James Bond" in From Russia With Love (best Bond movie EVER!), Thunderball (most successful Bond movie ever, more successful than TDK adjusted for inflation), or You Only Live Twice. The shaken not stirred line was absent from more BOnd movies than it was present in.

As far as shaking the martini, yes, it does dilute a LITTLE Bit, but it makes the martini COLDER. THere is nothing worse than a warm Martini.

I disagree with that completely, you cannot tell me that CR was better than Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, From Russia With Love, or even The Spy Who Loved Me

yea, i disagree with that too. For a multitude of reasons that seem to not even have to be explained.
