Does anyone know if Blood Diamond is actually coming to Blu-ray or not? - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

There have been rumors that BLOOD DIAMOND which streets next week will be available in high def as well, but I cannot find any confirmation.

The film is released by Warner which supports all formats.

Anyone know what's going on here?

I seriously doubt it's coming out next week on either format with no annoucement yet. Looks like they're pulling a Wicker Man/Scanner Darkly delay here.

I am getting more an more worried about Blood Diamond not being on Blu-ray. Any news on when it will be released in high-def if not on the 20th. Thanks

I still say it's not coming yet. Maybe at a latter date, but it cannot be ordered from suppliers.

they are probbly holding it back for THD so they will have a really big movie to sell those discs that nobody wants

It was advertised up here today in Toronto in both Best Buy & FutureShop flyers on HD-DVD (Tuesday release) but no word of the BD at all.

I've seen 5/22 posted at AVS for both the BD and HD-DVD.

The store I work at sent out an email saying that Blood Diamond was not coming out on Blu-ray or HD-DVD. At least not with the DVD.

I too am also looking for this title. I find it strange how on the Playstation Network store has it as a trailer download, but the Blu Ray disk has yet to be announced or released.

I believe Warner will announce Blood Diamond as coming to Blu-ray and HD DVD on 6/5 within the next few days.

It will either have TrueHD on both discs or TrueHD on HD DVD and PCM on Blu-ray.

Oh, I hope that you are right (fingers crossed). If done correctly Blood Diamond is going to look awesome in Hi Def.

No-one mentioned Total HD - I said trueHD as in Dolby.

I'm concerned with some reports and feedback I've seen about how supposedly subpar the PQ is on the regular DVD of this. (I have not seen it for myself yet.)

If that's true, then I certainly hope that is corrected in time for this.

PQ wasn't bad, it just looks that way after seeing a movie like Casino Royale on BD. The HD version of this movie should look great, if done right. When I watched it on regular DVD, during the action shots I thought, "they better put it on Blu-ray, because it will look fantastic." As for the movie itself, I'll rent it on BD just to see the quality, but have no intention of owning it.

Someone had also noted in a seperate post that Pulp Fiction and both Kill Bills are being released on blu-ray as well....anyone know of any confirmation on that?
