There is the Nyko Blu-wave. It costs $10-20 depending upon where you find it. It has a USB dongle that you plug into your PS3 which will convert IR commands from your universal into BT that the PS3 can use. Easy to get... cheap...... drawback is it won't power your PS3 on or off.

Then there's the IR2BT. It works similarly, but will control power functions as well. However it is about $50 and is frequently on back order.

The IR2BT is nice. I have it. However, it only does IR, not RF. Do you already have something in place to convert RF to IR? Or are you confusing acronyms?

Normally, most devices use IR to control them. There are times when people do not have line of site to their equipment. In order to control them, they either get an RF remote and them an RF to IR converter (Harmony has one for their 890 and 1000 remotes) or have an IR repeater where you have an IR "eye" in your room that is hard wired to where the equipment is and doe an IR blast to your devices.

You can power the PS3 off just not with the off button on the remote.
