Just wondering- will the North American version be in an actual green case, or is that just a mock up? or a slipcover?

Anyways, I think I might pick it up, just out of curiosity. Friend of mine is threatening to take away my 'nerd status' cause I told him I hadn't seen it. Hopefully it does to the Ang Lee film what the Chris Nolan Batman films have done to the Joel Schmaucher ones.

I honestly can't make up my mind about this movie -

on the one hand there is nothing wrong with it at all...

on the other hand it never really grabbed me at any point and made me go "woohooo awesome" (which is a prerequisite for me normally buying a movie)

Okay I have just finished watching this movie.

PQ - 4.5 The picture quality is very very good but not a 5.0 like Speedracer or Pixars animation. But people will not be disappointed. The scenes in Brazil deserve a special mention as the colours are vibrant and exciting. Blacks are excellent. There was a couple of soft scenes particularly when Bruce and Betty are standing outside of Sampsons House and around the college campus. Overall the picture is awesome.

SQ: 5.0 This is an awesome soundtrack and for me more dynamic than Transformers and Ironman. It had more "ump". Reference.

Suplements: Lots to look through including about 45minutes of cut scenes. In a way I can understand why they were cut as there was enough story along with the action sequences. There is nothing here that I thought yeah that should have remained except for the sequence between Sampson and Banner on the couch.

The alternative opening sequence was the most interesting additional scene as it had a very interesting reference to another Marvel character I will say no more.

The making of is interesting as the Director sure likes his gadgets. Film makers might get something out of it.

The CGi prep on the Hulk and Abomination was also intersting.

Overall I would give the disc a 4.5 out of 5.

^^^Great review! Thanks!

The scene with Samson and Banner on the couch was cut (I believe) because Samson ends up an important recurring character in the Hulk Mythos (goes through a transformation of sorts himself), and I think that the casting was off. The guy just doesn't make a good Samson. If I remember correctly, his name was never mentioned in the theatrical cut. It was re edited to exclude him from the house when Betty and Banner are in separate rooms (in the script it's a house that Ross and Samson share).

I'm so excited to hear the sound mix on this!

I watched the US Version on Import and PQ / AQ are superb however I see that some extras are missing from the UK version and also no digital Copy. But then again the price of Us discs now is too high to keep buying imports.

I want the green case really bad. The Blu case just doesn't look right.

All of the U-Control features are on the UK disc. They're just not mentioned on the packaging.

Looks less offensive with the HMV sleeve over it.

Care to elaborate, even via PM? I've justed watched the alternate opening. It SHOULD have been in the film, albiet minus the shoddy CGI avalanche...

There's another post on that already, where they show the still in the alternate opening, and you can see not just Cap's shield, but Cap himself, trapped (frozen) under the ice.
