I think people don't like the second movie because it wasen't like a strait to DVD release... True, it wasen't the best theatre release...but it's a fine movie IMO.

Think of it as a strait to dvd release, i'm sure the movies just feels better this way in your mind!

It's way better than those Stargate DVD movies, and those got good reviews!

Anyway, Chris Carter's already got my money for these releases

I thought it was better than that. It seems like you're giving it less credit than it deserves to make people change their opinions. I can see why people didn't like it, but I can't understand how X Files fans could hate it. I personally thought I Want To Believe was a better movie than Fight The Future, but it seems that's just me. I'm getting both, but will probably watch the 2nd one more.

I'm pretty happy that Fight the Future has some new extras on there. If the series goes Blu... don't think I'll upgrade as the 9 larger season sets set me back at least $450 way back when.

Ditto. Fight the Future was a very good movie. And I need to upgrade from my old non-animorphic DVD version.

But I Want To Believe was just horrible. My wife and I left the theater VERY disapointed.

Default Best movie of this summer

Instead of hollow SFX ladden trite Hollywood is serving us since "Jurassic Park", "X Files: I want to believe" is an excellent character study that deepens the relation between two TV icons, reveals their human dilemmas, and makes the viewer actually THINK about faith, believing, good and evil. Excellent acting, atmospheric photography and suggestive music score only cement the effect. I was not surprised that the audience that made "Dark Knight" a superhit, burried this gem at the box office. Chris Carter does not have anything to be ashamed of here, on the contrary. My deepest respect and gratitude!

"X Files: Fight the Future" is nowhere near as good movie as this one is... But I want them both on BD

I understand that this is going to be one of the best Blu-ray packages so far, concerning special features, pitty that FOX only makes region locked Blu-ray discs...

Does anyone have the 2-pack yet?

Are the movies in seperate cases (ala the "Alien Vs. Predator" 2 pack) or are they like the James Bond sets?

Would take the first film, I quite enjoyed it and have it on DVD. But they can keep the last one - a horrible film, a waste of time and energy. Really did nothing for the X-Files world.

Seriously? I will never understand how X Files fans can hate this movie so much. It was really good. I absolutely loved it. Was there not enough sunflower seeds in it or something?

Me either, it's a shame because I always thought the X-Files crowd was a bit more mature, but it turns out that many were only interested in the little green men..

Hugh X-files fan here. I also feel the last movie was a disappointment but I still enjoyed it. Will be lining up on Tuesday for both.

We still do not know if the movies will be region locked. I doubt the new one would be region free but there is a small chance that Fox wouldn't region lock the first one since it is a catalog title.
