Default Blutooth headset pairing (SOCOM version)

So I am trying to get this headset to work and have tried a few different things from some members but I still can't get it to work.

I paired it with the playstation correctly and it shows up as my only blutooth device. When I turn it on the PS3 acknowledges that Headset is turned on. But when I go to use it, the green light just blinks and it doesn't register that I have a headset in the socom rooms. Any other help? qq...

Have you tried going to the audio device settings on the xmb of the ps3 to make sure you have the settings correctly? You can test the audio input/output there?

SOCOM is not a good test. Try Audio Settings, and test it there. If you can hear yourself there it works.

I got Socom just for the headset and Im selling the game on Ebay. I love the headset. Much better than the Jabra that came with Warhawk. I really love the placement of the buttons and they are easy to access.

Maybe a dumb question, but does it work with other games that support in-game communication? IE Battlefield BC?

Default PS3 Sony Headset registering problem

Ok, Ive used my Sony BT headset by holding down the power button, waiting for the alternating red/green lights to start, the going into accessory menu and letting the PS3 "discover" it, put in the 0000 no problem.

But then I was reading about the supposedly 'better' way by connecting the USB cable directly to the headset itself and it will auto-sync. However, when I do this , all I get is a flashing red ring. What am I doing wrong?

You need to fully charge it first.

Now if you want a quick way of how to sync your headset here it is, and if you run into problems read the manual, and if you still do not understand, post here.

1. Delete any existing registered Bluetooth Headset.
2. Make sure you have PS3 2.5 firmware downloaded and installed.
3. Turn on the PS3 and leave it on the XMB, you do not need to scan for the headset so do not even try. If you do scan, you will not get all the features for the headset.
4. Take the PS3 bluetooth headset out from the cradle, and plug the USB connector into the headset directly, and than plug the USB into your PS3.

5. You will see it blink on power and mute a couple times, and the syncing process is done.

You will not get the added features by using Discovery mode

Can ANYONE help me. My mic stopped working last night. Every time I hold it down three seconds to turn it on i hear "duna a na na, duna a na na" sound. It also wont show my voice after I turn it up to 5 and talk in accessory settings. Yet the mic still works i can change the volume up and down, it glows red to signey charging and it blinks green in use. Can someone tell me what might be wrong? I checked the manual where it says whats happen if you hear certain sounds but not a "dun a nun na, dun a nu na" melody. I really want to use voice on this game again.
