At my old house (closer to the dist center and also nearer to a postal hub) I could watch 2 shipment a week (so 6 movies on the 3-at-a-time plan).
At my new house (farther away from the dist center and postal hub) I can pretty much only watch 1 shipment a week. So, in my experience, I just boils down to where you live since Netflix turn around is dependent on shipping speed. |

Well the dollar extra is nothing if they actually give you the blu's. I always send mine back on Sat so they ship new stuff on Monday but they skipped both Incredible Hulk and Strangers on me and both say Very Long Wait now. Who the hell knows when I will actually get them now. If they are going to charge more then they need to have more copies.

I was supposed to get Kingdom Of Heaven today. Well, imagine how annoying it was to open it and see that I got the DVD version and not the Blu-ray version. It didn't come in one of those Blu-ray sleeves but it does say Blu-ray in the title on the sleeve but it's the DVD version

I had good luck with netflix initially, but the more I rented the slower they got. I don't use them any more. I go to the mom and pop video store down the street from me. They keep up with the Blu's and there are only 3 of us that rent Blu. Most stuff I want I buy anyway.

i highly recommend netflix for BR rentals - generally they are in stock most of the time, the shipping time is 1 day usually - 2 at most...selection is generally very good as well...
they are very good for watching movies that you either don't intend to buy or want to check out before buying - kind of like renting video games... i usually go through 3 movies a month and i feel it justifies the cost... if you have kids, it's also good for a getting a movie for them to watch over and over again for a month or so and then send it back without buying it - you can limit your BR purchases to the classic kid movies and great modern day animation being done |

Had to wait a while for Iam Legend when it first came out. But something Im really looking foward to with Netflix is renting the entire Planet Earth BD collection disc-by-disc (I dont think I want to fork over the $$ and purchase it quite yet)
Also, Netflix on Xbox 360 sounds good but can it be in hi-def? From what I understand, the movie gets streamed, not downloaded. ![]() |
