How would you grade your collection?

I'd say a B+ is about right for me. Of my 160+ titles, there are a few mediocre flicks from blind buys.

I'd grade my collection at about a B. There are some titles that I regret buying because of their transfer quality(Finding Neverland, AOJJBCRF) or lack of hd audio(Goodfellas), and imports that I would like to get if they were region-free or had english subtitles. I've also supplemented my collection with good imports(Infernal Affairs Trilogy, Almost Famous, Phantom of The Opera with HD Audio).

Not all that it's cracked up to be. Spending all of that time on some titles that don't even deserve an original viewing, let alone a second or even a third viewing because of commentaries/bonus-view content... then having to expunge on the miserable aspects of them. It actually gets quite tedious. Unless you get first pick at what is available (which is a priveledge usually reserved by whomever owns/runs the publication you write for), it can be more tiresome than enjoyable.

However, I've been lucky enough to be second in line. Although I don't get many blockbuster titles from a percentage basis, at least I'm guaranteed 2 titles that I know I want with every shipment. That makes it worth the effort for me.

I grade my collection at A+. Reason being I only buy movies that I really like. Instead of buying a movie just because it was supposedly a must have on blu ray. I have started just waiting for major releases I want. For example, Braveheart, The Dark Knight, The Exorcist next year, Days of Thunder.

I would rate mine as a C+. There are so many tittles i want to get that because they are either unavailable or i can't afford any right now...but the tittles i do have on my shelve are enjoyable...oh yeah i have 40 tittles as of now....

everyones collection is an A+ because its that persons collection and there favourite movies of choice id probably give you all a D- though

quantity ≠ quality. do you think your "grade" is proportional to the number of titles you own? anyone who owns 'meet the spartans' is not improving their collection, only wasting money.

Only buy that ones that I can watch over and over and still entertain. All else is a rental. So I'd have to give my own collection an "A"... Don't think anyone is going to say that their collection sucks, cause what does that say about them, then ? although I am sure there have been many blind buys that they sincerely regret.

I figured I'd weigh in on this thread and give my collection a D for quantity and an A+ for quality and replay value (which matters the most). i only have 21 right now but every single blu means alot to me in one way or another. With blu's I'm being very cautious as to what titles to purchase, not like with dvd's where i just bought everything back when they were just introduced. Money doesn't grow on trees especially with the economy getting worse and worse so why waste good money on films that don't matter or aren't even worth mentioning twice
