Just to clarifyu something, the packaging wouldnt have been that bad IF the whole collection was there or if the films were in chronological order, you guys are right I shouldve done more research on the packaging before buying, but i was under the impression that the 3 movies were gonna be individually packed in a bd case each.

IN the case of Matrix and Die Hard, i have both and i like the packaging mainly because they both have the COMPLETE COLLECTION and dont have to worry about them releasing more movies later in different packages.

So thats pretty much my point

1. The fact that the box sets were designed to hold ONLY the titles listed on the cover, i was under the impression the set was going to have the 3 movies individually packed in a blu-ray case inside the box.

2. The fact that the foam core on 2 of the movies was peeled off and damaged making the discs to unfastened easily making them more vulnerable for scratching.

I wouldve prefered to spent a little more extra and buy the movies individually. Heres the reason why: we dont know for a fact that the remaining movies from the franchise will be released the same way (also goes for the limited edition tin boxes). What if the studio later decides to release the movied individually in a regular bd box, so lets say you bought the box set or the tin box, by the time you finish the collection then its gonna look ugly with some movies (not chronologically arranged) in a box set and the rest in a regular bd case.

It would ve made a difference if for instance, they would ve released ALL THE MOVIES in a box set or several ones as well as all of them in a tin box at once, as they have done it in the past, then you could have your collection in either or version.

So now im stock with one of the boxes, i decied not to open the other one so i could exchange it for the regular sets.

I think this was a very bad marketing move from Sony-MGM

Anyone agrees with me?
No....
Thats why it was a hair cheaper I guess.I personally went after the Steelbooks and am very happy with them

Now that I just read your comments on the box sets, I'm going to take my James Bond Collection Vol. 2 back to Best Buy and just buy the movies individually, since I haven't opened the box set yet. Thanks for the heads up!

Found 4 of the 6 at a Gamestop used already for $12.99 each, looked brand new. Add in my 10% discount for being a super duper Gamestop customer. Bought all 4.

Got:
Thunderball
Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Die Another Day

And on chronology. I wish they would release them by actor myself.

I think it was Fox & MGM.
I know the Sony logo is on Casino Royale, but didn't Fox have something to do with the other 6 Bond releases not Sony?

Default So when will the complete box set be available?

I refuse to buy any James Bond movies on Blu-Ray until they release the whole box set. If they left off the Daniel Craig films, I would be more than OK with that.

Whole box set? Craig has signed to do 8 total. It will never be "whole". It's Bond for crying out loud.

Exactly. We'll all be dead and Cubby's heirs will still be making Bond films.

The Bond 50 set (plus Skyfall naturally) will never be made obsolete though because it is what it advertises: a collection of the first 50 years. The inevitable next Bond film will obviously fall outside of that period.
